Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program - Roseville, CA

Veterinary Specialty Hospital Roseville is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position at VSH Roseville.

VSH Roseville is a 24/7 emergency hospital serving the greater Sacramento region. With a newly expanded 21,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility, a 40-patient ICU, and advanced diagnostic capabilities including CT and MRI, we are equipped to deliver exceptional emergency care while fostering a collaborative, supportive environment for our team.

The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program

The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.

The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

Program Duration/Commitment

• 6-9 month training program beginning Summer 2026 (flexible for GP DVMs or Off-cycle students).
• 18 month commitment post mentorship as an ER clinician at an Ethos hospital following training

Program Highlights

• Schedule will rotate through days, swings and overnights. 10 or 12 hours shifts.

o Post mentorship schedule will be rotating as well.

• 10 shifts per month

• Surgical training offered

• No on-call

• Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds

• Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors

Compensation

• Annual salary of $120,000 per year during mentorship period.

• Post mentorship, salary will convert to $180,000 - 200,000 annually and 25% production.

• Overnight differential of $250/shift

• Signing Bonus: $10,000 offered post mentorship
